If I were always as productive as I have been the past week or so, I would probably have some sort of career by now. I painted the above animal porn, revised two essays, and finished two of the books from my list of shame, Bleak House and The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
And for anyone who came across this post by Googling "animal porn" and got nothing but a stupid update on my reading list, I sincerely apologize.

Oh My. I like the animal porn. And you know how all those Flannery O'Connor books always have a peacock theme because she raised them? This needs to be the next image in rotation.
I will offer one critique: while peacocks are good, this would have been much better if it featured T-Rexes.
Of course! I'll add some.
It's a very pretty painting.
((Because I have no formal training in art criticism, that is all I can offer.))
As someone who does have formal art training, here is my artist statement:
My objective in this piece was to explore the idea of two birds totally doing it. Because birds do it. Bees do it. Sunsets are pretty. Somebody give me a grant.
disturbing. yet i can't pull my eyes away from it...
